Our first official day in San Jose, Costa Rica started off great. We had breakfast at Hotel Aeropuerto where they served us eggs, toast, rice and beans and fresh fruits. It was amazing!

After indulging on some authentic foods, the group loaded onto the tour bus which lead us through downtown San Jose and we made our way up and through the mountain. As we got to the top of the mountain, Scott said we could explore the area before lunch and most of us had walked to the summit. I captured some great photos of nearby hills, clouds, and beautiful flowers.

We gathered together for lunch at South America's only highest elevation restaurant at 10,000 feet (I forgot the name of this place) but the owner had a very interesting story of how him and his wife became the owners. The food was amazing, I had tamales and posole.

Finally we reached San Vito, where the humidity surprised me. It was super hot but the landscape and surroundings are breath taking!

Overall the first day has been interesting, especially with the long bus ride.

But tomorrow is a NEW day
